About The Event

Join our Autumn 2023 Associates as they share their learning from their first year working in the public sector.

Sticking to a long-term vision for places and communities is tricky. Our Associates will set out their take on why aspiration is important, and share with you some tips on how to avoid being derailed by unforeseen events or changing priorities along the way.

During this talk we will hear interviews from built environment professionals in different local authorities across the country. Join the discussion via live polls during the Talk - come along ready to be part of the conversation and share your thoughts.

This talk features insights from:

Mark Boyd, Urban Design Officer at East Riding of Yorkshire Council

Anna Czigler, Economic Development Officer at Newcastle City Council

Tom Ardron, Community Retrofit Officer at the London Borough of Merton

Abigail Murphy, Senior Planning Officer (Urban Design) at Rugby Borough Council

Meg Collin, Landscape & Green Infrastructure Officer at Somerset Council

Joe Stancer, Regeneration Project Manager (Central Area) at the London Borough of Waltham Forest

Eleanor Lygo, Masterplanning Officer at St. Helens Borough Council
